We took a short trip over to W.P. Franklin Park (239)694-8770 during our hurricane evacuation (from Mathew). It is a beautiful park, all waterfront. It is located on a mixture of fresh and salt water, and feeds to Lake Okeechobee. There is great fishing here, and License provided as part of park fee.The park is located near to Ft. Myers, and a scenic drive across the state, passing Lake Okeechobee. This waterway connects the east and west coasts, and has 3 lock systems.
